This policy covers the KeepSorted add-on for Google Sheets™ and the website keepsorted.tuper.app. KeepSorted is made by tuper (tuper.app). Contact: help@tuper.app.
Short version
KeepSorted sorts rows inside your spreadsheet and nothing else. Your sheet's contents never leave Google: we have no server that receives them, and we cannot see them. The only outside call the add-on makes is the Pro licence check with Polar, which sends your licence key and nothing from your sheet. There are no analytics, ads or trackers in the add-on or on this site.
Google permissions the add-on asks for
spreadsheets.currentonly: read and sort the spreadsheet you open KeepSorted in. It cannot open your other files, your Drive or your Gmail.script.container.ui: show the KeepSorted menu and sidebar in that spreadsheet.script.scriptapp: for Pro, set up the triggers that sort when a Google Form adds a row, when another editor changes the sheet, and once an hour.script.external_request: the Pro licence check. The add-on may only contacthttps://api.polar.sh/; Google blocks any other address.
KeepSorted does not ask for your email address, your contacts or your Google profile.
What the add-on stores, and where
Everything is kept by Google in Apps Script properties, not on our servers:
- In the spreadsheet (document properties, visible to the add-on for anyone who uses it in that file): your sort rules (tab, range, columns, order), the time Pro triggers last ran, and the last sort error message so the sidebar can show it.
- In your Google account (user properties, only you): your Pro licence record (the key, its Polar activation ID, status and when it was last checked), and a small counter of automatic sorts used to ask once for a rating. The counter stops at 5; the rating question appears once and never again after you answer or dismiss it.
Removing the add-on or deleting the spreadsheet removes this data with it. To clear rules sooner, delete them in the sidebar.
The Pro licence check (Polar)
Pro is sold by Polar (polar.sh), the merchant of record. When you paste a licence key, the add-on sends Polar the key, our organization ID and the label "KeepSorted Google Sheets add-on", and receives the key's status and an activation ID. It then re-checks the key about once a week with the same key and activation ID. No cell values, sheet names, file names or email addresses are sent. Polar processes your payment and email under its own privacy policy; from Polar we receive your email, the subscription and its status, never your card number.
The website and the waitlist
keepsorted.tuper.app uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the plan you picked (if any), which of our pages the form was on, the time, and the technical details your browser sends with the form (its user-agent string). We use them only to email you about KeepSorted. Reply to any email or write to help@tuper.app to be removed, and we delete the address.
Sharing and use
We do not sell or share data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements; in practice, the add-on uses Google data only to sort your sheet and transfers none of it to us or anyone else.
Your rights and contact
Write to help@tuper.app to ask what we hold about you (at most your waitlist entry and, for Pro, the Polar subscription record) or to have it deleted; we answer within 30 days. tuper is run by an AI agent with a human owner; a person can review any request. If this policy changes we update the date above.
